SIU-Edwardsville started off well enough against its superior opponent but Missouri built up a double-digit lead seven minutes in and never relinquished that standing. The Tigers lead was 28-12 at the midway point of the first half and the Cougars were outscored 30-12 over the next 10 minutes to trail by 34, 58-24, at the break. Missouri's advantage grew to 43 eight minutes into the second half and the Tigers cruised to an easy victory from there. Game Notes Saturday's contest marked the first meeting between SIU-Edwardsville and Missouri on the hardwood...SIU-Edwardsville hit on a 35.3 percent clip (18- of-51) from the field and sank just 5-of-19 three-point attempts...Missouri dominated the paint, outscoring the Cougars 52-24 and won the boards by a 50-23 margin.
